Help golden retriever training?

Ok so soon i will be getting a golden. I have asked this question before but none of the answers are helping me so i am going to ask it again and hopefully some one under stands.

When i get my golden retriever (8weeks) he is going to be an inside dog and outside. When i am at school i will put him outside and when i get back he will be an inside now the problem is toilet training. I have no idea what i am going to do. I dont even no what happens in toilet training , is the dog supposed to give you signs that he wants to go outside or do u teach him to go in one spot of the house like with cats in a liter box???. I am also concerned that my puppy will not understand that outside is ok to pee and poop in but inside is not and he will forgot that and just go and do pee and poo everywhere.

Also one more thing i know goldens are active dogs but will they still laze around some days???
MY puppy is going to have supervision is going to be walked while i am at school AND is going to have chew toys

Black Lab Potty Training Trouble!?

my 4 month old black lab puppy just doens’t understand the concept of potty taining. she knows that when she pees or poos on the carpet that she’s in trouble but she refuses to ask to be let out. we take her outside every morning where she’ll go pee. it doesn’t really matter how long we stand out there if she wants to poo she will if not the second i head back upstairs to finish getting ready she’ll poo in the living room. when my husband went on a trip the situation got out of control. every day i came home from work to find several pee and poo piles. one day we confined her to one room in the house so as to reduce damage. when we got home we found she had escaped by digging at the carpet so she could get her paws under the door to pull on it. confining her doesn’t work and since i have to be at work for at least 8 hrs a day it seems cruel to put her in a crate and since i live in colorado the weather is still too cold to be keeping her outside. plz help!!

Kennel training help?

So, I’ve been trying to kennel train my 10 week old lab puppy but I’m not so sure if I’m doing it correctly so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
This is what I am currently doing: I bought a kennel that’s the made for an adult labrador and stuffed the back with his toys and put blankets in it. Before bed, I take him out for him to do his business and then put him in his kennel. If he’s sleepy he will stay quiet but sometimes he’ll whine just for wanting to play. He starts barking when he really needs to go poo or pee which usually at odd hours of the night and I let him out into the yard and then put him back in his kennel. If I don’t do this, he will usually release in the kennel. Am I doing something wrong? Advice would be much appreciated! Thank you all :-)

These are Shelby’s faults. Shes a very good puppy but she is known for doing all of these things in one single day.
If you leave your food unattended she WILL eat it. She actually found a few screws under the paint and started knawing at the wall and there is actually a pretty decent sized paintless drywall area on the wall, and she loves chewing on things. She plays hard with my first dog, Peggy the Puggle. Peggy is getting old (6-9, dont know cause we adopted her) and Shelby is still a puppy and twice Peggy’s size and Peggy doesn’t like to play fight but Shelby does.
Shelby is a Black Labrador/Blue Nose Pitbull mix. Very active. Very loving. 6-8 Months.
My mom, dad, and even me have considered giving her up to an animal shelter. But I cant just give her away I love her very much and am willing to train her out of her bad behavior. She used to pee and poop on the tile floor but thats over and done with. How can I burn her energy down also? And any tips on how you trained your dog with some of the misbehavior that my dog has?
Im already planning on running with her in the mornings. How long should I run with her for? I was thinking just around the block. Is that too short of a distance?

What's the best way to house train my puppie?

I have adopted a puppy he is a mixed breed dog Pitt bull rot wriler and lab any ideas on how to house train him ( get him to pee outside)

okay so i have this puppy is like a labrador mixed with something else and like..
its 12 weeks old and we keep it inside the house in the laundry room
when we first got it we toilet trained it to pee on newspaper but then it was really hard to clean up from the newspaper so my mum bought this thing and its basically fake grass and then its ontop of this black box and its like slanted so it goes down into a hole and into a container so its easy to clean right?
and then my dog it learnt how to pee on it right away cause it was in the same place the newspapers originally were.
Then my mum took the fake grass off the cover and put it outside so when it was outside it would pee on the fake grass cause our backyard is concrete and it still peed on the black box itself without the grass cover which was very good.
It still sometimes forgets to pee there so we have to constantly watch it whenever its out right?
and also yeah im basically asking for any tips to improve the method or anything.
BUT THATS JUS TTHE first part here comes the main part
THE MAIN PROBLEM IS ITS POOP
its trained to pee on the black box the fake grass and beforethat the newspaper. But the problem is it never really was trained to poo on any of them. Oncei tpooed on the newspaper and we were so happy and rewarded it with food but i dont think he got the message as the next time it pood somewhere around the house again. Everytime it poos in the house we yell NO! and lock it in its room for half an hour or so. It’s poo is uncontrollable. But recently my mum has been tired of cleaning its poo inside and shes just like ok screw it i cant be bothered and she just takes it outside for a walk and does that and i think the dog knows that hes allowed to poo anywhere in the backyard. And afterwards teh next day it dries up and my mum can just sweep the dogpoo or thats what she said. But if we don’t let it out it still sometimes poos in the house and its so annoying. Sometimes it poos and pees even whenw e take it outside or take it to the black box like 5 minutes before and tell it to pee.. Its so frustrating is there anyway to help?
But yeah the main problem is I am sick and tired of this poopoutsdie the other day i stepped in it whilei t was outside and it was so disgusting and i dont feel like this is the right way to train it. I dont want to step on its poo outside and i dont think teaching it that pooing anywhere in the backyard is ok is a good idea..
SO OVERALL
i want to know
1. How to toilet train him to POO on the fake grass or like black box as well or maybe an allocated area or something
2. Any tips or anything after reading the backup info to improve the method of teaching or like any simple dog tips to help

Hello, so I recently got a Golden Retriever puppy. 8weeks
He is doing fine with his potty training. He scratches the door so he can poop outside and pees on the pad. We feed him well good food 3times a day. However, our FLOOR is very slippery. And I know they’re bones are very weak and easily exposed to hip diploma. They are hard wood floors. So I’m thinking of keeping him in the garage because of the fact that our backyard is not fenced.
Is that ok?
should I get one of those cool bed for him and a fan?
should I tie him up so he can walk around the garage but not near where the stuff are?
Should I put him in a crate like I use to when he sleeps?
How can I make him let me now that he has to poop or pee?
Should I keep the pads in the garage?

AND ANYTHING ELSE?

Thank you so much. I LOVE my puppy so much and he is doing fine. I just dont want to ruin his health. I want to do what is best for him.

I just got him today and at first he was a little scared of being in a new place, which is understandable but I want trying to "lure" him into the crate with some food and he went in fine but when I closed the door he started looking around frantically and crying, so I let him out. What can I do to get him to like the crate? Right now he’s just sleeping next to the couch.
Okay, now I got him sleeping in the crate after he was freaking out, crying and trying to use his teeth to get out, I went and lied down next to the crate and when I did he calmed down, so i gave him a few kibbles.

When he wakes up, will he start crying again? And if so, should I let him out to go to pee or leave him until he stops?

Potty Training Chocolate Lab?

I have a 7 month old chocolate lab that is my world :) She is crate trained and never uses the bathroom in her crate. She never messes up if i am here to let her out and during the night if she is sick(thats hte only reason she would have to go) she goes to the door and im a light sleeper so i know! I may be getting a 12 hour shift job and i want to start leaving her out in the apartment. She doesnt chew up anything so that isnt the problem. The problem is if noone is here and she is out of her crate she doesnt know to hold her bowel movements of pee! Please help if you have any advice on how to break her of this! She understands its wrong cause when you walk in the door she automatically hunkers down!

Hello, just yesterday I adopted a 1 month and 24 day (Estimated) old Labrador retriever mix, mixed with what I do not know.

Now for days I have read many tips online, as soon as we brought him home I took him straight in our backyard to his potty spot and he went without a problem. We got him a crate, and last night was his first night in it. He whined for about 10 minutes, but he slowly went to sleep. Upon me waking up, I am surprised that he did not have an accident in his crate.

Yesterday every time he went potty it was always outside, never inside the house or in his crate. I’m trying to set a schedule with him, and start a little training (no biteing feet, chewing on anything besides his toys, etc) but we’re waiting to get a bag of treats first.

Anyway, my schedule I want to be something like this.

7:00 AM – I wake up, let the doggie out of his crate, feed him, take him outside to pee.

7:15 – After he has done his business, I take him back inside and put him back in his crate, letting him sleep more.

8:15 – Bathroom break, again.

9:00 – play time, which including me taking him in our backyard and running around with him, and letting him roam the house. (have to keep an eye on him, he loves to case my 9 year old kitty and chew on stuff, including her toys! So we put them up where he can’t reach and show him his toys.

And this is all I really have so far. I want to have at least two playtime times a day, probably 30 minutes to an hour long, and the rest of the time he’ll be sleeping in his crate. Of course, I’ll wake him up every hour so he can go outside and do his business.
I also would like to feed him lunch at around maybe 2:00 PM, and then Dinner time around 7:00. But I was wondering if lunch time was too late, like maybe I should feed him lunch at 12:00 PM instead? And dinner at 6:00 PM? Last night, I also put his water bowl up 30 minutes after he ate, so I let him get a drink. Then I let him out to pee, and it was bedtime.

Of course, he whines for about 10 minutes until he calms down and goes to sleep, if I’m in the same room as him. I can only leave the room when he’s asleep, otherwise he’ll whine loud. I put him off to bed at 10:30 last night, and he woke me up at 2:00 AM with his whining, so I let him out and he went potty without a problem, then I brought him back in and back to bed. Then he woke me up again at 6:00, with more whining, but I held in there and he stopped about 10 minutes later. I did this because I want to let him out when I wake up. (an hour later) And to my surprise, when I woke up, no messes in his crate!

Sorry for the long details, I just want to give as much information as possible.

My question is, what is a good schedule that I can follow everyday, including feeding times, playtime, potty, etc. And by the way, I go to sleep at 11:00 PM, so I want to make sure that doggie is asleep at least before me, but of course I can put him to bed earlier.

Please make the list revolve around my time, like how I wake up at 7:00 AM, let him out, feed him, etc.

Thank you so much, as you can see I have a lot of questions, this is my first ever dog / puppy!

– Ryan.
Edit: Thanks for the guide, I’ll diffidently have a look at it.

As for his shots, when I adopted him, he already came microchiped, and with his first shot. Then I took him into the RV they had, where they gave him his second shot. So I believe he should be up to date until about two weeks I believe they said, then it’s time to take him to the vet for a check-up + next shot.
