Here is an excellent site that will answer all of your training questions> http://www.canismajor.com/dog/tpuppy.html
A puppy of that age will not need milk, but just a good quality dry dog food, moistened with warm water.
Cow’s milk will give a puppy diarrhea and colic..
I like the name, Jammy.
If you don’t know the answer to these questions you should not be looking after a puppy
Jammy ok. Labradors are very intelligent and toilet training should not be a problem. Just chase him outside when he appears to be ready to do business, and take him out or walks before sleeping. I would not, however, recommend feeding him milk. Plenty of fresh water is fine, otherwise you will have quite a mess to clean up when he poos on your floor. Feed him a good quality nutritional puppy pellets (dry) until he is about 6-10 months old. After that a good quality adult large breed dry dog food is fine. It is better to spend money on good quality dog food than to skimp and feed him ordinary stuff. Labby’s are great dogs and I am sure he will learn very quickly.
no milk,,, ideally, since this pup wont even be 7 weeks old perhaps you could wait til he is 8+ weeks to bring him home.. a reputable breeder will let you know how much he has been eating, what food he is on and any other questions that you may have… hopefully you will use a reputable breeder.
is he weaned from mom? does he have all his teeth? if he is 6 weeks old then feed him a good quility puppy food. just like the other two dogs you raised. as to name how about black watch.
feed him puppy food, no milk, he will get the runs….and water of course
As a breeder myself, I don’t mind taking the time to answer puppy questions from people who seem to have done some basic preparation for bringing a puppy home. That does not seem to apply here. The least you could do would be to pick up a book that gives advice on raising a puppy. They are typically 100 to 200 pages in length and cover all aspects of raising a new puppy. Instead, you want all of the answers given to you here? Are you kidding me???
You are taking home a puppy under 7 weeks old????? Rather than asking these questions on the internet, ask them of your "responsible breeder" who is sending the puppy away from its mom at such a young age.
