We’ve taken a charity case dog, who at the time was about 12 weeks old. She is now 16 weeks (or 4 months old) and we have not noticed any betterment in the potty training process. She is crate trained at night and while we are gone (as ALL my dogs are). She is let out when all the other dogs are, which can vary in time lengths, whenever they ask to go out, usually several times a day.

In the morning, I let the dogs out of kennels, and send them immediately outside, and they are always let out right before bed, however, I have noticed that Jett (this is her name) urinates in my house on average every 15-30 minutes (not an exaggeration). They are not small piddle puddles, which I would assume are indicative of a UTI, but what I would consider fuller bladder puddles. She is not small, she is a Labrador Retriever, so I would expect her to be able to hold her bladder for at least 2 hours, but she does not. I believe she is just unwilling to.

When she urinates (and sometimes deficates in my house), I discipline, and send outside, where she proceeds to bark her head off until we let her back in. She never leaves the back porch! Within 5 minutes of letting her back in, she is urinating in my house again.

Beginning to anger me, really need some advice on different methods perhaps?
I forgot to mention, that on the time that she DOES go potty outside, I squeal and call her a good girl for going potty outside, and make a big fuss (I’m sure the neighbors think I’m loopy) but even so, she will come inside and pee within a few minutes agian.

I am lost with my dog. She is 60+ pound 5 year old black lab and I have had her for about 3 months. She bit an older small dog, who had to stay overnight in the hospital.That happened about 2 days after I had her, then I paid of course, and put her in training and she still won’t listen. She will look right at me and do what she wants, (i.e jump 6 ft fence and run a muck, refusing to come when I call her, putting me in liability). Any advice is much appreciated, I feel like I might have no other choice than to get rid of her ( and if she’s violent the pound will put her down) She amazing with my kids and super sweet with me, just stubborn and well she definitely has issues. From what I know she had a VERY bad past ( owner mistreated her)
We’ve been in training almost since I got her…and I have seem improvement, but not much you know? I excepted more work than usual but she’s harder than 3 kids!

Which one of these dog breeds are more fun and easier to have like with training and exercise? which one would you pick? and why would you pick it?

I have a small car and i will be travaling 2 hours too bring a labrador puppy home with me. i thought about getting a dog seat belt or a mesh barrier because i dont think a crate or carrier for that sized puppy will fit in my car.
any suggestions?

i have a beagle pup and a lab and i want to train them both to dove hunt and quail and other upland game they can hunt rabbit and other animals that i trap and train them how do i train them for quail/grouse/woodcock and other smaller birds ?

I have a 1 year old labrador retriever who is very motivated by food. She is well behave but when I want to teach her a new trick she gets so excited about the food it’s very hard to settle her down. Then after she has learned a trick like down for instance she is very good at it, but sometimes when I dont have treats with me she’ll just sit there and won’t go down, even though she knows what I’m saying. So if anyone knows a better way of training her or to have her listen to me all the time that would be wonderful. Thanks

I’m getting the puppy in 3 hours and I haven’t thought of a name. He’s a male and also, what else do I need. I have food, bowls, leash/collar, training treats, clicker, crate, toys, what else is missing?!

I’m going to get a labrador puppy and my dachshund doesn’t like dogs (but he gets along with my other chihuahua dog) so how do I introduce them? I’m sure my chihuahua won’t do anything.

I am currently a student and I will be gone for about 8 hours Mon.-Fri. from 7:50-4:30 and I was wondering which would be better doggy pads or crate training? If it was me I would certainly not want to be in a crate for 8 hours so should I use puppy pads in a closed area in my house.

P.S. I plan on getting a labrador
p.s. I forgot to say I am available for a long time before and after school to play/exercise with my dog, and either on of my parents are their on those 5 days of the week.
I also have a very big backyard.
