Labrador puppy and yorkshire terrier “beef”

i adopted my new 3 month old black labrador/german sheperd mix from the animal shelter about 5 days ago and i have a 1 and a half year old yorkshire terrier at home. they are both females. it seems that they don’t get along. my lab puppy keeps wanting to play with the yorkie, but the yorkie might be scared. the first time they met the lab puppy sort of jumped on the yorkie and the yorkie has been scared of the lab since. everytime my yorkie runs in the house my lab puppy thinks she is a rabbit or something and tries to run after her trying to bite her tail. i can see that my yorkie is stressed out because the lab puppy obviously needs alot of walks because i dont’ want her to poo and pee in the house, so everytime i take her for a walk my yorkie waits at the door looking sad. its hard to walk them both by myself because the lab just chases the yorkie. my yorkie has been having some diarrhea i think that might be due to stress. does anyone know a way to makes these two get along? i’m pretty sure the lab puppy just wants to play, but how can i let them without them gettin in a fight or end up getting hurt?

I have a 10 month old Lab. She’s housebroken and crate trained very well. She has her "area" of the yard, a corner of the yard where she goes potty. We’ll be moving to a new home, and completely new surroundings. I’d like her potty habit to stay the same (confined to her area of choice – outside!) My concern is that she’ll need to be re-trained in her housebreaking. I’ve heard many stories about dogs who were fully housebroken, and moving into a new home made them regress, or stressed/anxious. What are some preventative measures I can take, to make sure she is comfortable, and feels safe in our new home. And also, prevention in housebraking "regression". Will I need to leash her up every time for the first few months? Oh, and I’m a stay-at-home-mom, so I’ll be there if she needs anything, anytime! Does anyone have any advice? I appreicate it.

What is the exact purpose of crating? This is be my first indoor puppy, and I was just planning on just putting up a gate at the entrance of my apartment kitchen – (which is about 7′x7′) with her bed in there too. I will only be in college for about 4 hours a day (off Weekends) so I have time to spend with her. I plan on potty training her by frequently bringing her outside and praising.

Any advice?
Thanks

Dog Training Holidays

my dog is ten months she does not take orders very well and she is very active what do i do?

There’s this labrador puppy I’m thinking of getting that’s a little unusual– Not only is she a runt but her coat is black and brown with almost stripes. Her siblings are all solid colored. Will this change with age? I almost hope not because it’s pretty unique but I’d still like to know.
